The Sales Order Processing application is the key to fully integrating
invoicing, inventory, receivable, and sales analysis functions.  The module
allows the user to enter standard sales orders, blanket orders, back orders,
and special non-stock items or drop ship items to the customer.  As sales
orders are entered, customer credit limits and inventory stock are
automatically checked.  If an item is out of stock, alternate warehouses or
alternate items may be issued.  Also, price quotes may be entered, printed,
and later converted to standard orders when the customer places an order.  All
sales order forms may be customized and printed on demand as they are entered
for point-of-sale requirements.  The module provides sales analysis reports,
supports data sensitive, detailed sales tax reporting capabilities in the
Accounts Receivable module, allows new salespersons, sales tax codes, terms
codes, miscellaneous items, charge codes and comments to be added
"on-the-fly."  When integrated with the Inventory Management module, sales
kits can be exploded on the order during sales order and invoice data entry.
Reports can also be produced which list sales kit information.
